The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has voted 180–22 to approve House Bill 2460, a bipartisan proposal that would allow public schools to offer hunter and trapper education courses to students in grades 6 through 12. If the bill becomes law, it could help introduce a new generation of Pennsylvanians to safe, ethical hunting and wildlife conservation.
A newly introduced bill in Lansing could set the stage for a Michigan wolf hunting and trapping season—but only if gray wolves are removed from the federal endangered species list first. For Michigan hunters, it’s the clearest legislative push yet toward restoring state wolf management authority.
