Hunterizer App Adds 2026–27 Pennsylvania Hunting Seasons Following PGC Updates

See what you can hunt at your location in the Hunterizer Seasons app.

Pennsylvania hunters can now access the full 2026–2027 season lineup directly in the Hunterizer app, following the recent updates adopted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC).

The update includes all finalized seasons and regulations currently released by the PGC, giving hunters a comprehensive, mobile-friendly way to plan their year—with one key exception: migratory game birds, which will be added later once federal frameworks and state dates are finalized.

What’s Included in the Hunterizer Update

Hunterizer’s latest Pennsylvania rollout reflects the most recent decisions by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, including:

  • Full 2026–27 hunting season dates and structures
  • Updated bag limits and frameworks
  • All small game, big game, and upland seasons currently approved
  • A streamlined view of Wildlife Management Unit (WMU)-based regulations

Notably, migratory bird seasons—such as waterfowl and dove—are not yet included, as those are set separately and typically finalized later in the year.

Expanded Sunday Hunting Built In

One of the biggest highlights of the 2026–27 season—and now fully reflected in Hunterizer—is the continued expansion of Sunday hunting opportunities.

  • All applicable seasons now include Sundays within their date ranges
  • Some seasons have been extended to end on Sundays instead of Saturdays, effectively adding extra hunting days

This marks a significant shift from previous years, when Sunday hunting was limited to select dates. While Sunday hunting is now broadly incorporated, it’s important to note:

  • Migratory game bird hunting on Sundays remains restricted due to federal frameworks
Based on Recently Finalized PGC Seasons

The Hunterizer update closely follows the final season structures adopted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission earlier this year.

The Board of Game Commissioners finalized the 2026–27 license year seasons after reviewing proposals and public input, continuing trends such as:

  • Maintaining familiar season structures for many species
  • Providing additional opportunity through calendar adjustments
  • Aligning seasons with biological data and hunter demand
Why Migratory Bird Seasons Come Later

Unlike other game species, migratory bird seasons are regulated in coordination with federal guidelines, which means Pennsylvania cannot finalize them until frameworks are issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

As a result:

  • Waterfowl, dove, and other migratory seasons are not yet available in Hunterizer
  • These will be added as soon as the Pennsylvania Game Commission releases final dates
What It Means for Pennsylvania Hunters

With this update, Hunterizer users now have early and complete access to nearly all 2026–27 Pennsylvania hunting opportunities in one place.

The inclusion of:

  • Expanded Sunday hunting
  • Updated WMU structures
  • Accurate season timelines

…makes it easier than ever to plan hunts well ahead of the season.

Bottom Line

Hunterizer’s latest update delivers exactly what Pennsylvania hunters need right now:

All finalized 2026–27 seasons, fully integrated—while leaving room for migratory bird updates as soon as they’re announced.

For hunters looking to stay ahead of the season, it’s a clear advantage: less guesswork, more time in the field.
